6 US soldiers killed in Iraq

* Suicide bomber kills seven Iraqi policemen
* 12,000 Iraqi police killed since US invasion

BAGHDAD: Six US troops were killed in a string of attacks in war-torn Iraq on Saturday, the military announced on Christmas Eve.

Three military police were killed and one was wounded in Baghdad when their vehicle was hit by a roadside booby trap, said a statement released on Sunday. Another soldier was killed and a second wounded in an explosion while operating in the flashpoint Diyala province north of Baghdad. Two other soldiers were killed southeast and southwest of the capital in separate bombings on Saturday, other statements said.

The latest deaths bring the number of US fatalities in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion to 2,966, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures. In December alone, at least 83 military personnel have died.

2. How sad..

We need to sacrifice Bush and Cheney to the Iraqi people. Just ship the two bastards over there and let them do whatever they want to them. It's seriously the LEAST we can do.
