bankrupts Social Security ? Is that the real goal here ? If we can run a deficit for an illegal and immoral war we can damn sure run one to keep Social Security alive.

1. I see this war as
a goal to imperial power. Him and Cheney wanted a war and picked Iraq so Jr. could assume wartime power and fast track thier scheme to build the imperial presidency.
Jr. keeps the war going regardless to keep wartime powers. End of war will weaken the scheme of the imperial presidency.

2. I think they will keep it going as long as they can
seeing as they regularly take whatever they want from the Social Security Trust Fund. If this wasn't there, they'd have to find the money elsewhere, and they don't want to raise taxes on the rich.

3. As long as China keeps countersigning the US Treasury checks, war will keep going.
So long as the mega-corporations can get money from loans the US taxpayer gets stuck paying, the war is on. Once China calls the debt, we are nothing but squatters in our own land, and probably not even that for long.

4. The occupation will stop when Congress gets some balls and cuts off
the money spigot. Nothing will change until that happens.

If you're not doing anything next year, perhaps you would consider joining us to make that happen. See The Occupation Prioject for details.

5. How does Congress stand for the next election under the charge of
'they cut off supplies to the troops'?

The Troops are being held hostage.

7. The cost of this war, I bet, will in the end go over 2 trillion with the social, moral and world
political consequences being cataclysmic.
