Then answer me this...
Where is the chorus of outrage from the administration or anyone in prominent republikkan political circles that has expressed outrage over congressman adolf hit...I mean...virgil goode's statement about wanting to eliminate (or SEVERELY) restrict the immigration of Muslims into this country.
for me: virgil goode is perfectly within his right to say, "I don't like Islam." I mean, I'm not exactly enamored with the way it is politicized and implemented in many areas of the world. That being said, I'm not enamored by the way Christianity is practiced by many of it's members, Judaism is practiced, etc.
But...I don't think we should 'restrict' <outlaw> the immigration of fundie Christians, Orthodox Jews, etc into the US just because I'm not a member of their religion.
And as a reminder to people...the country with the largest number of followers of Islam is Indonesia. And...I read somewhere along time ago that the 90's census showed most Arabs living in the US were Christian. I don't know what the 2000 census showed.
I mean, I could be a follower of Islam in Papua New Guinea. How are they gonna know for sure when large numbers come from Indonesia, Thailand, etc?
They gonna ask them?
Excuse me, Sir? Are you a Muslim? No. Okay. Welcome to America.

1. Who ever said or thought that repukes were tolerant people in the first place? |
|
They are the most intolerant, hateful, bigoted, uncompassionate people on the face of the earth, and they use "Christianity" as a veil to cover it all up.

5. Kudos to Lindsay Graham |
|
I'll give him credit for doing so.
I'm curious as to why 'the maverick' john mccain has deen so silent. I guess being silent on racism is another sign of his 'maverick' nature.

4. People have been hated for one reason or |
|
another when they entered this country. The Irish, Italians, Jews etc. Have all had their problems with the locals. Today it is the Mexicans & the Muslims. In 50 years who knows what group it will be. The republicans need to learn that this country was built on it's diversity, not it traditions.
