2. Great, and kick!
One of my old friends from NY moved to Lakeland and went from a liberal outlook to a total *-lovin' rethug, and still is. We don't talk/scream anymore, so I'm glad this is happening in Lakeland!

ones who still think Bush was chosen by God. Yes, many here still think that...in a literal way. They really do. However, during the weekly rallies now most of the bypassers are friendly. It used to be the opposite. Mostly thumbs up now.

I posted this letter to the editor the other day in GD...I intend to repost it sometimes, so we won't forget there are still loonies like this guy.

Read his reasons to stay in Iraq, and you will cry.

5. Good to read as far as people perhaps listening.
I just did a very bad thing. I sent that letter from the paper to my 'friend', asking her what she thought about it, even though we're not talking politics.
In fact, 2 weeks ago I unblocked her (holidays, her birthday was on X-mas, she's alone, etc.) after almost 2 years.

Hmmmm, I might regret this.

6. Well, I wish you good luck on the response you get from her.
Once 3 years ago a lady who was in our home to give us an estimate ...yelled at me when I was telling hubby about a very important letter I got from manager at a TV station.

It was our first encounter with that type of stuff. She yelled out how dare we question the war, and Bush was sent by God to protect us.

We asked her to leave our home, but she kept yelling. I was shaking.

In an office where we have to wait now and then, there is a guy who constantly preaches about a Christian nation. We tried to ignore him, but we finally asked the office if it had to continue...that if it did we would have our say. They asked us just to let it go, but we said no...we had our rights to speak up as well. They decided to hush him.
