Bush, advisers crafting new Iraq policy post-Saddam execution
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061228/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush

<snip>
CRAWFORD, Texas - Already weeks in the making,
President Bush's new war plan is being burnished with the assistance of top military and diplomatic advisers as critics of the war urge the Democratic Congress to resist any call for a large military buildup in Iraq.

It's unclear whether Bush will signal his desires or just seek further consultation when he meets at his Texas ranch on Thursday with Vice President
Dick Cheney and other members of the National Security Council.

Downplaying expectations, the White House says it's a "non-decisional" gathering. Yet advisers have set the stage for a presidential speech after the first of the year in which Bush will lay out a new U.S. strategy in Iraq where violence could be sparked by the execution of
Saddam Hussein.

1. Same old shit
Executing Saddam isn't going to stop the Iraqis from taking potshots at us-if anything, it'll get worse. The idiots in charge definitely live on planet bozone.

4. No no you are wrong this is a whole new and improved turning point
Don't get it confused with that other turning point (Saddams "capture" ) because that wasn't a turning point and no one ever said it was either. This is a whole new turning point because that guy in jail will be dead and so he can't have the same influence like he did because as anyone who has studied history knows that once someone is dead they no longer have any influence or impact.

:sarcasm:

5. it's time to impeach

Its time to impeach the president; he's proven that he cannot handle the job. THIS IS THE FEELING OF THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULACE.
AND THERE IS SEVERAL IN THIS ADMINISTRATION WHO SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR ILLEGALY PROMOTING WAR FOR PROFIT.

I'LL bet if we could see all the analysis of the pre-invasion of iraq that came from our think tanks, there were warnings of failure if we used to small a force to attack, and occupy iraq.
I'll bet this analysis is at least 90% correct as to our status in iraq today.
IT started in korea, then nam and now IRAQ. it's time we the people made and example of incompetent leaders, After all it's our children lives there playing games with.
you don't start a war unless you fight to win,no more drag it out for profit wars.
