17. the speechifying scriptwriters are market testing the ambiguities and vagaries
more vagaries to come -- not to worry -- they're making progress.

15. Probably worked his way up from Jim Beam to cognac.
Yeah. SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURE. He's making good progress. What an ASS. What? Making good progress getting all his yes-men and yes-women ducks lined up in a row behind him, everybody standing eagerly at the ready with that good ol' rubber stamp? Maybe he's just making good progress shouting them down and intimidating them into holding their tongues and stifling their disagreement. Perhaps they're not arguing with him as forcefully now, and THAT constitutes his making good progress. As I said already: WHAT AN ASS.

9. I think he only got the 32-crayon box
It's the one that doesn't have the built-in sharpener in the back.

7. He talked like he just woke up from a nap
He hemed and he hawed and kept pausing and throwing his hands. I think he just woke up from a nap. Besides the progress he is making is....he has finally gotten a bunch of yes men together that are giving him the answers he wants to hear. When they are finished putting together what he wants he will announce. Heaven help anyone who disagrees.

20. Or like he'd just been sneaking a little nip behind the door in the next room
where nobody'd see. And those around him were trying to pretend they didn't smell anything.

OR, he's hung over. OR all the drinking he did earlier in his life has taken its toll, and by now, the sound of all those lost brain cells is completely unavoidable.

What an ASS.

8. It's the Democrats' fault!

If they had had a plan for Iraq, they could have just told Beloved Leader and we'd be done. It's those damn Democrats that are making being President such HARD WORK!

10. This reminds me of a 5-year-old who hasn't done his chores.
You speak to him firmly and sternly--in essence reading him the riot act. Then you come around a little later to see how he's doing and he says, "See? I'm doing my chores! I'm doing what you told me! See?"

Only 5-year-olds tend to learn their lesson...

See? You see? I'm doing what I'm suppose to be doing, now! See?

11. His homework is 3 years late. We gave him an F in November
Edited on Thu Dec-28-06 01:56 PM by Hardhead
And now he says he's thinking about getting ready to possibly crack open the books sometime soon (if everyone stays off his back). We all know he's sending more soldiers to Iraq. And not just for the short-term: they'll be there for the remaining two years of his term.

NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

Or rather: the only possible change is that he will accelerate the pace of the disaster.

There WILL be coverage. It will be unavoidable. And none of it will make him look good.
