Poll question: Edwards, Obama or Clinton?
All will announce their candidacies I'm sure and all are top choices to receive the nomination(unless Gore runs -sorry to the Clark fans but I don't think he has a chance... yet).

Of those candidates. Edwards if Kerry doesn't run. If Kerry runs, probably Kerry.

19. Second that! Edwards WAS impressive today. Though curiously MSM doesn't consider Edwards a 'loser'
from '04...like they do with Kerry. Yet it should be remembered, Edwards was HALF the '04 Ticket... equally responsible for that loss. But somehow MSM isn't going to "handicap" Edwards for that loss. THAT they'll reserve for Kerry alone.

JK, however, IS my first choice. But given Edwards' impressive 'sprint' from the 'gate' today, JK better SOON enter this race. Edwards made this a whole new ball game today. At the very least, from now on there'll be a little less "Hilary/Obama ONLY" dialogue.

Although I like Edwards too. I think Obama would draw more support from minority voters. I hope Hillary doesn't run and stays in the Senate. She can do more good for the country and the Democratic Party in the Senate.

I don't understand how supposedly progressive voters would support a white southern conservative Democrat like John Edwards over her. Obamma I can understand. Either way, I love her and will gladly support her.

37. ?
John Edwards is not a conservative democrat. Just because he was from the South, that doesn't make him a conservative. Did you even watch his speech when he declared his candidacy the other day? Universal health care? Lifting the poor out of poverty? Restoring our reputation in the world? Getting out of Iraq? How are those issues even remotely conservative? Personally, I would be happy with an Edwards/Obama ticket. I think America needs the kind of hope and optimism that such a ticket would provide. Clark would make a great Secretary of Defense : )

46. IMO.... This Past Year Has Shown Me A Very Right Wing Bent
from Hillary! I really want her to "stay out of it" for now. There was a time when I felt she would be the best candidate, but now she is my very very last pick!

I call her DINO now. Besides, I don't like this line-up... Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush and now let's have ANOTHER Clinton! I don't think so, we MUST have more than two families in America you know!

Obama is too young and needs more experience.

Hillary is too right wing and voted for the Iraq war. She is too conservative.

Actually, I think Wesley Clark is FABULOUS!!!!!!

33. Edwards/Obama 2008
Hillary Clinton is leaning a little too much towards the right to get my vote. Sorry, Hil.

It would be awesome if Barack Obama became President, but he needs experience in American politics to become a Grade A Presidential Candidate. He would make a perfect Vice President, though. 8 years as VP under John Edwards would make excellent experience for the White House.

I guess you all know where this is going... Yes, I endorse Edwards. He has climbed up several ladders in society, political and economical, and now he wants to help the American people up these ladders. Two years ago, I was dreaming about John Edwards as Vice President of the United States. That was then... Edwards/Obama in 2008? Yes, please! :)

He wasn't in the US senate so he couldn't vote. But, He made his opinion known that we shouldn't invade.

36. Re: Obama was the only one who spoke out against the war before it started
Too be honest, I did actually support the war in Afghanistan when it started.
I don't know why, guess I was scared.

The point is: Everyone makes mistakes. Edwards' mistake was supporting for the war, and he has apologized for it. Nobody's perfect, but it's certainly a lot better than Bush' "stay the course" 'strategy'.

Obama opposed the war in Iraq, that I approve of. I've always thought the invasion was a big mistake.

Narrowing of choices does not force a choice from that narrow field; it leaves room for abstention, write-in, or 3rd party choice.

Just talked to my son-in-law in California, who was once republican leaning; but now, that Edwards is in the race and he has it all "sorted out", he's going to work for John. I like John Edwards, and his wife. John is smart, decent, charasmatic and honest. If he doesn't make it as the presidential nominee,
maybe he will be the vice-president.
