Sandy Berger
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/12/20/AR2006122001968.html

Does anyone know what the deal with Sandy Berger is? I'm pro-Clinton, but what is Berger trying to hide by stealing these NSA documents?

He looks guilty as hell, and it doesn't really seem worth it to hide reports that make him or Bill look bad, since its all in the past now.

I have no idea what he was afraid of, but its got to be quite serious.

1. Hey, you
can still be pro Clinton. But is Berger did what he is accussed of, he deserves to go down. He lived with classified documents for his entire time in service at the White House, and is more than familiar with security regulations. I have a hard time beliving that someone could store secret documents in thier pants and forget about it. Just an opinion from someone that used to keep a safe full of secret and TS documents.

3. According to him, as I understand it, he was worried about his
tesitmony during the hearings and was prevented from spending the time in the archives he needed to be accurate.

As a fairly normal, non political office holder, it sounds way too hokey for me, but the more I understand these types who are fulfilled only by having access to and being associated with power, the less I understand.

Whatever, I seem to recall that he was fined fifty grand and forbidden access to the records for a period of time.

All history, now.

6. Sandy Burgler
A freeper on another forum thought it would be cute to refer to him as Sandy Burgler (just like Uncle Rush conditioned him to). The other forum members were legitimately confused as to what the hell he was talking about.

it was teh funny.

I believe he also tried to destroy docs by cutting them up, and he took docs outside and then tried to retrieve them later.

I don't know what he is trying to hide, the worst is that it makes him and Bill look bad from past decisions.

At least it can't be worse than "Osama bin ladin determined to attack the US"

...the Justice Department concluded that other copies of the documents at issue existed and that they were provided to the Sept. 11 commission. He also said the Justice Department affirmed that Berger had no intent to hide the contents.

See the discussion at this link, then get back to me if you are still "troubled"

8. FELON Ann the Man Coulter "shocked by lack of Outrage over Sandy Berger"... Bwaahhhahaaaa!!!!

Ann Coulter Shocked By Lack of Outrage Over Sandy Berger
Posted by Noel Sheppard on December 22, 2006 - 12:03.

As NewsBusters has reported here and here, there has been a shockingly deafening silence from the American media concerning revelations of former National Security Adviser Sandy Berger’s actions at the National Archives in 2003. In fact, it appears that only Fox News has much interest in a story about a top-level political official stealing and destroying top secret documents from the facility responsible for storing them.

With that in mind, “Your World” invited Ann Coulter on to discuss this issue on Thursday, and the conservative author was not shy (video available here courtesy of our friend at Ms Underestimated). After guest host David Asman gave some background, he asked his guest: “Ann Coulter, where is the outrage? Are you surprised that there is no outrage about this?”

Ann didn’t disappoint:

Shocked, I am shocked. No, actually, this is back to the left's normal position. What was strange was when they pretended to care about national security with Valerie Plame. And then when it turned out for one thing, she wasn’t undercover and for another thing the person who outed her name was opposed to the war in Iraq, they went back to their normal position which is to be in favor of outing CIA agents. I mean, they did this back in the '70s. There was Counterspy magazine printing the names of CIA agents. And people that worked in the Clinton administration defended that. So, now we’re at least back to the position where they’re in favor of harming national security.

etc.. etc... blah... blah... whine... whine..... bitch.... bitch... (rightwing news bashing site: http://newsbusters.org/node/9799 )

Mann Coulter should just JTFU.

If s/he wants to talk about lack of coverage on Sandy Berger.. I'm here to say that I'm also SHOCKED by the lack of coverage on her/his fraudulent voter's registration case!
