Question...Should Saddam's hanging be made public? The 20% + Republicans still left voted yes.

This question was asked on C-SPAN call-in. Those on the Rethug line mostly said yes. The large majority of Dems....said NO. Gives us a window into the Republican psychic.

That is such a nauseating thought - that someone would enjoy watching another person die? I don't care who it is being put to death, or how much it may be believed they "deserve" to die, to think that someone would actually WANT to see the killing seems barbaric and twisted to me.

What was it that Gandolf said about Gollum deserving to die? “Deserves it! I daresay he does. Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends."

IF they were asked the same questions about how the death sentence should be carried out here, they would probably vote for a public display. The talking heads over at Fox are falling over themselves over the possibility of watching this live. I am sure the WH will want a public display it will once again temporarily bring their numbers up.
