America media hungry for the hanging of Saddam
Edited on Fri Dec-29-06 09:12 PM by bigdarryl
all the major news media are covering the execution. kind of a coincidence that the hanging is done just before the weekend so the sunday talking heads can cover it. but we keep hearing its the Iraqi Government who are carrying out the execution YEAH!!! right

2. The exhibited bloodlust is sickening
Yet they are almost silent about the deaths of our troops and the Iraqis. Sick bastards.

4. And yuo expected any better
want to bet that they will mark the death of the 3000 trooper as quietly as possible?

As is this ghoulish fixatioon is their hope that in Sadamn's death all will suddenly be ok.

Our troops (and Iraqis) are about to pay for this, and Sadman should have been turned to the Hague

5. It's just the nature of the beast. If not Saddam, we'd be having a 24/7
Ford-a-thon.

Frankly, I'm rawther nauseated by BOTH.

One thing's for sure. It's certainly blown all the year-ender packages straight to hell. Probably a lot of pissed-off people in big newsrooms around the country - who thought they'd be able to slide easily out of 2006, all the production pieces in the can, all the write-thrus edited and done. And then this shit happens and you have to tear everything up and start over. Perhaps, with Saddam, it might have been somewhat predictable, but nobody can be sure when some famous person's gonna die. Even if they're really old and ill. They can hang on for what seems like forever, as George Burns and Bob Hope did.
