The "Don't Tell Mama" thing
WHERE is this "So-called" T-Shirt that says "Don't tell mama, I'm pro-Obama"?!!!
This started with Matthews, and continued TODAY with Russert... I'd like to know the source of this, if anyone knows...thanks!

4. as if hill reminds me of mom.
hah.

it almost seems like a neocon subtle ploy to defang both hillary and Obama.

a long term version of the spam calls before the last election.

5. Here's the background — it came up when I googled for the t-shirt:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/12/10/wbush110.xml

In the Obama camp the unofficial motto has become, "Don't tell Mama, I'm for Obama", in reference to Mrs Clinton's nickname when first lady.

For now, she remains the clear favourite among Democrat voters, but Sen Obama's rapid emergence from nowhere to second place in opinion polls has forced her to step up her lobbying operations.

9. Still it seems to me that Hillary being known as "moma"
isn't something that is commonly known by the general public. Or maybe I haven't gotten out of my cave often enough?

12. I know - it sounds a bit racist to me
Like, we white people would be afraid to tell our mothers we support a black man or something.

Odd.

7. Ok, they've got a couple of websites
http://www.draftobama.org/about and their Myspace http://myspace.com/draftobama. I need to look into the organization more, but for the most part, it looks like a bunch of white guys, which make me wonder.

11. No, but I think if this were truly grassroots, the majority of his support
would come from the black community. Before I read the background on the slogan, I was thinking it was a subtle racist comment. I questioned up thread why one could not tell their mother if they supported Obama and when I saw all the white people.. it made me suspicious. They have disclaimers all over their website saying that they are not affiliated with Obama or any of the organizations he is affiliated with. It just sent up a red flag with me. Of course they could be perfectly legitimate...like I said I need to do more research.
