Dick Cheney Resignation Poll... |
|
When will Dick Cheney resign?
My guess: March 29th.

Good one Auntie!
My guess -- June 17, 2007.
Dr's say for medical reasons he must step down.

4. Whenever Fitz catches him perjuring himself on the stand, |

and causes a heart attack, or he resigns for his health.

6. Odds are against it, at least for now. |

1. He's no Agnew. Meaning, he's ideologically invested in keeping his power. Agnew was just a stupid punk, with no real power.
2. Who's going to tell Darth it's over? Certainly not the shrub. One possibility is that Poppy decides Cheney has to go in order to give the shrub a chance to salvage his presidency (under the direction of the fixer, of course) and has Baker get to the rethugs in congress, who are getting desperate about the next election. Poppy probably is more interested right now in reviving Jeb's presidential prospects by cleaning up shrub's act.... that's his real motive. Such a scenario would take a while, and given the shrub's rejection of Baker's Iraq advice, it's not even a given that the shrub would go along with it, so it would take even longer to organize an impeachment threat to force the shrub to dump Cheney.
What has to happen first is Fitz must uncover enough evidence in the Libby trial to show Cheney is guilty beyond all doubt of not only leading a conspiracy to out Plame, but that he was the liar in chief to get us into the Iraq mess. And we are certainly not there yet.

8. I keep thinking they are using Cheney as a limited hangout, |
|
and they aren't worried because they think he's teflon. Though I have doubts, because everyone else's thoughts on this thread are convincing.

:( Then Cindi can be the First Black VP and in the best position to run as VP in '08 and steal a lot of black votes. Her goals always seem to be "Be the first!" That thoughts of that ugly soul as our VP is truly scary!
