Cspan goes directly from Peace march to Hillary Clinton in Iowa Town Hall Mtg |
|
I guess that shows you who has the most political savvy doesn't it?
I have to say I resent it.

1. But, is her house smaller than the future Edwards house? |
|
I resent that so few DEM pols are at that march. Houses don't mean as much to me as actions.
Hillary slipped a few more notches in my book. So did a lot of others.
The ever passionate Mr. Robbins, on the other hand, goes up yet again. The lovely Ms Sarandon... to the moon! And it was fine to see Ms Fonda take her rightful place and find her voice again.
Code Pink and Raging Grannies are tops.
C-SPAN got turned off at the Havoc House (which is, by the way, considerably under the acceptable DU limit for size;) ) as soon as D.C. went off and Iowa came on.

2. Yes, I'm sick of the ambitions of the status quo. When is she going to talk |
|
about substance? It's all a bunch of propaganda.
We are not the hardest working people in the world, Hillary. Where the hell did she learn that?
She's just full of a lot of crap.
Sorry if that offends the Hillary contingent, but that's how I feel about it.

17. And unfortunatly, you are a shrinking minority of the work force. In part, because of |
|
the so-called "free trade" policies of Hillary's significant other.
It's time Democrats started voting based on their self interest. Both george and Hillary cheerlead for our people. It may make people feel good, but it doesn't solve any problems to lie to people.
Personally, I'm glad Americans aren't the hardest working people on earth. I never thought that was a particulaly admirable goal to shoot for. And I have, in large part, the Union movement to thank for that.
Working 16 hour days to survive isn't a virtue, in my book.

24. do you seriously think a candidate for the presidency of this |
|
country (or any country)is going to get up there and announce that the people of that country aren't the hardest working people in the world?
What's she supposed to say? "You're all a bunch of couch potatoes"?
What a foolish criticism! Surely you could be a little more creative in your trashing....

27. no, but you miss my point. She could have said Americans are hard working |
|
people instead of lying and saying American are the hardest working people in the world. It's crap like that which sets off my bullshit meter. And I don't care who's trying to lay that cosmic debris on the voters. It's pure pandering. I think, boy, they are sure telling it like it ain't. If they will lie to you about the little things that they don't even have to, then you know for sure they are going to lie about the important stuff.
i find it insulting to my intelligence.

12. For instance, she hasn't said anything about heathcare except that she's for it. |
|
She said we are paying too much and getting to little. Perot said that in 92.
All she says is we can do better.
She wants to do better, I'd be surprised if she said she wanted to do worse, wouldn't you?
She wants incremental reform so maybe in 15, 20, or 30 years we will be where? With our same wasteful unworkable system, because she's status quo.
My bet, is if you look back at every status quo politician they all say about the same thing.
What she doesn't say is that Canada has everyone covered, and does it for half the cost per capita that we do. Her health care plan which she executed in private back in the early ninties was the no insurence company left behind bill.
What she doesn't say is that in canada, they have left all the insurence companies behind, because private insurence companies don't provide healthcare, they don't do diagnosisis, they don't do anything except suck profits out of the system for pushing paper, paying for football stadium naming rights, paying overpaid CEOs and making money for stock holders.
But she's the status quo. Why challenge that, just because it's ripping off Americansm and insuring that many go without for double the cost?

6. The Iowa coverage was SCHEDULED to start at 1:30 |
|
... DC got an extra half hour. By the time they cut to Iowa, the Rally had ended and the crowd dispersed. All that was going on was background music and people wandering around. They never, ever, never actually show the 'march'.
:eyes:
Jeez - everything isn't a conspiracy! And no, I'm not a Hillary fan.

16. Road to the White House is a SUNDAY show |
|
Getting this time slot for that program on a Saturday is pretty unusual. I'm sure she didn't mean for the rally to be cut off, however, she DID get this slot to hope to catch some people who might not otherwise listen to her. Shows that some Dems can get media attention when they want it. To make it about health care instead of foreign policy was stupid though.

I am stunned at how much bullshit Hillary is getting away with from the most media and politically savvy group of people in the country. Incredible. OF COURSE she planned to piggy back the rally.

THere were many speakers who commented on the fact theat no Prez candidates were there. In fact Code Pink especially mentioned Hillary.
Bravo Conyers. I wish you were running for Prez. Bravo Maxine Walters.
Where were OUR leaders in Washington today???
I got so damn mad I wrote NBC on their coverage as well. Disgusting.
