When is the chimp coming back to the country? Gonzales might have to wait until chimpy can hold a news conference to announce the resignation.

5. Full confidence = Kiss of death (It'll be Rove's head, though)
But I think a poster above really has it right. As these emails start to gain public awareness, I think Rove has to go. I'd be surprised if there wasn't some stepping down of Rove by tax day. I don't see how he can survive this right on the heels of the Libby thing. Rove is a huge, glaring liability. Someone in the Chief of Staff's office has to sit Bushie down and tell him that 1) Rove can't win elections anymore, 2) Rove has your approval rating hovering around 30%, so he's utterly ineffective as a political strategist, and 3) Rove now has this scandal swirling around his head, and it touches you every time it swings round. He's gotta go.

I was one of those who correctly predicted that Rove had sidestepped the Plame indictment, and I had a few wearing my sig line behind that prediction. This is my new prediction: Rove out inside a month.

8. I'd rather
that Gonzo were impeached after lengthy hearings -- which would likely expose more vermin once all those rocks get lifted up and looked under...
