Texas Tour , 2007: Richardson goes into George Bush's home country, with a swing through Texas. He's been to Dallas, stops in San Antonion, then on to Abilene and Austin. The Houston Chronicle previews the trip here

Hispanics are excited about Bill Richardson's trip to Dallas. Read an advance from the weekend's Dallas Morning News.

The blog named Good Will Hinton likes Bill Richardson. "Expat Teacher" says, "Bill Richardson has all the qualities and experience required for a successful presidency. Governor Richardson is running on both his local and national resume. He is really the only candidate that can say that."

Medical marijuana: More reaction to the approval of medical marijuana on Daily Kos, where a poster called "xxdr zombiexx" writes "Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I am pleased beyond words to hear Bill Richardson come out openly on the side of supporting medical cannibas: medical marijuana. And you have done well in saying, 'Let's be reasonable.'

VP or not VP? Bill Richardson makes Cindy Adams, gossip-maven in the New York Post, calling him a "delicious" dinner partner -- that was probably before his shake-flavored diet. She declares himself a "fan" of the presidential contender, whom she knew as Ambassador to the United Nations.

Read her post, as she sets the record straight that Big Bill is running for the number one spot, not vice president: http://www.nypost.com/seven/03192007/gossip/cindy/shhhhh_bono_studies_harvard_cindy_cindy_adams.htm?page=2

I AM a fan of New Mexico's Gov. Bill Richardson, whom I knew when he was here as Bill Clinton's ambassador to the U.N. Smart, tough, doesn't shirk a fight, he's also a delicious dinner partner. Anyway, as our maybe first Latino chief of state, Bill is in the cast of thousands running for president. However, I mentioned he secretly figured he could better nail the No. 2 spot. Richardson called after I printed that. He clearly wants it known he's clearly running for the top job. Clearly. OK by me, hon. I love you. I'm a friend. It's just that three - three - Dem apparatchiks told me that. Separately. On different occasions. Reporting it was what he, Richardson himself, told them.

and I only see two potential bumps on the horizon (lying about playing minor league baseball, and his supposed affinity for being touchy-feely with women). Outside of that, he could make a realistic push into the top 3. We'll see how good his ground game is with hispanics (in the NV primary, and perhaps in CA). He is a lock for VP.

3. he (reportedly) pokes at men, too
all of the rumors are apparently about nothing much . . . whispers about an affair or something. I heard a columnist say this weekend that the reason he's not given enough serious scrutiny is because they know something. I think that's bull. If they knew something embarrassing enough I can't see them holding back. I think all they have is a whispering campaign. If folks end up liking Richardson enough he should do what he wants about the rumors. He can address them directly ( that never satisfies) or he can do what Bush has successfully done and refuse to talk about them. Either way, I think his personal life should have no bearing on someone's decision unless it reflects on his ability to perform the job we're electing him to.

4. Agree with your sentiments. We'll see how it plays out. B-Rich is a real cowboy.
He represents the future of the Democratic Party: ethnic diversity, western etc.
