4. Not Guiliani
Edited on Fri Mar-30-07 08:56 AM by KingofNewOrleans
But America doesn't really know Guiliani, so that doesn't bother me. And while these things should be taken with big grains of salt, it's amazing how bad Romney does in these polls.

3. I'd like to see how he stacks up against Gulianni.
Of announced candidates, Edwards is my second choice. It is no coincidence that our last three Democratic presidents (four if you include Gore) had Southern accents.

6. Edwards has to fight for any coverage
--- The MSM's determination to make 2008 a political-social experiment featuring either the first woman OR the first black candidate is having the (desired) effect of keeping Edwards out of the spotlight,... along with Clark, I might add. Either of these two could make a stronger candidate than Obama or Clinton.... where a non-partisan national electorate is concerned,.... but they have to get more prominent coverage. The media's actions in this are a disgrace.

8. I think Edwards has more longevity than Hillary does.
She is popular now only because people aren't making any serious decision yet, IMO. Edwards will be seen as more credible as time wears on. We are really ready for someone new, not another Clinton I think. Failing a Gore run, he's probably the best positioned of those out there now.

As Jimmy Carter was a refreshing change from Nixon-Ford, Edwards could be a refreshing alternative to the Black Bush Years of Doom.
