There is no doubt that W's regime is the most anti-democracy
in history. It started with a stolen presidential election and the corruption of the Supreme Court and continues even now when the popular will and a coequal branch of government are ignored. The Republican Party under the leadership of an intellectually lazy frat boy has abandoned all but the pretense of representative government.Bush, Cheney and Rove all know that their policies are basically repugnant to the American people, so they have packed the Department of Justice and Courts with corporate royalists who are dedicated to suppression of the voting rights of classes of people least likely to support its repressive policies. The enormity of their un American plans are being revealed to the country through the purge of US Attorneys who displayed an allegiance to the Constitution rather than being satisfied with being " Loyal Bushies" The complicit news media warns the Democrats that they are in danger of going too far in investigating the many outrages and scandals of the past 6 years. They do so to cover up their culpability in the subversion of long held values and beliefs. I pray that the Democratic leadership continues its commitment of revealing how big a threat W and his henchmen have been to our democratic system. If so, we may be able to keep faith with our founders by keeping this republic.

1. They redefined democracy in terms of the government representing
the interests of Oil, military contractors, and Walmart instead of the citizens. Their vision of utopia hasn't worked out very well.
