Has There Been Any Word On Tony Snow? |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-04-07 04:27 PM by Dinger
He sure stepped aside quickly. What is his prognosis? What made me think of it was hearing Elizabeth Edwards' good news on her cancer. I sincerely hope they both get well, to me, this has nothing whatsoever to do with politics.

2. Yes, But Is That As Bad As Pancreatic Or Lung Cancer? |
|
I have known people who have survived liver cancer, more than one actually.

8. My Dad was diagnosed with liver cancer. He lived four weeks. |
|
He was just about gone when they found it. He never drank; it came from the lungs, which came from 30 years of spraying chemicals in his rose garden. He would NOT wear a mask!! :eyes:

5. I just did a Google search. |
|
I used the terms "Tony Snow" and "prognosis," and of course got too many hits, some of which were DU discussions.
Really, I wanted a medical article, not political coverage or discussion, and so far I haven't found what I want.
From what I understand, though, the cancer has not penetrated the liver but is attached to the outside. I can't recall that they have announced a drug/chemotherapy/radiation course yet. But I think the basic goal is to prevent further spread of the disease and to prolong Mr. Snow's life. It's not clear how many years we are talking here (and it's probably unlikely that the casual observer could know).

So you can search colon cancer liver metastasis and get more of what you are looking for. I can tell you the long term prognosis is not good at all.
