2. Hey, Will, wasn't he doing a second appearance
live tonight, as well as the Leno one??

I could have sworn he was doing Conan Obrien or something, and one was taped and one live.

5. Yes, I caught the ones from that night-
that was Larry King and Craig Kilbourne on the same night.

Someone was asking on the volunteer board if he was doing Conan tonight and another person mentioned the Leno appearance was taped.

11. Agreed, but what did
i expect from Leno? not much.

Dennis did okay given the skit, he was a 'good sport' so says Lamo...

now on to Clint Eastwood.....

15. just as pathetic as Kerry's motorcycle stunt
It is so depressing to know that our candidates have to bend over for corporate unfunny bullshit just to get a decent sized audience. Truly sad.

9. Well, I knew I recognized Kim Serafin
Edited on Thu Feb-12-04 11:58 PM by Bombtrack
She's definetely the hottest one of the fembots, I had only seen her as a talking head before this.

This was really pathetic overall. Sharpton and Kucinich say they aren't non-serious candidates, but sometimes they don't help themselves

13. Dennis made the right choice!
And managed to be appropriately self-deprecating. It was obviously a really really dumb skit but Dennis looked like he was having fun, which is half the battle. It was good for name recognition, which still remains his biggest challenge.

14. I thought it was pretty good.
At least they started with a nice video montage of Dennis' career.

Did anybody watch Jay's monologue? He hammered AWOL pretty hard.

Unfortunately, there was also, "John Edwards' keeps saying that there are two Americas. Unfortunately, they're both voting for John Kerry." :-(

22. You get some sort of wierd pleasure...
...from watching Edwards suffer...

I'm not going to worry about it I suppose. To each his own.

16. I thought it was funny, anyway
Of course it was asinine, it was Leno. But I was laughing the whole way through! And I was really surprised that they had "real" famous people as bachelorettes, rather than plucking some 20-somethings off the street and having it be some kind of beauty contest. DK took it in good humor and made himself look very sharp, IMO.

This was definitely good publicity for DK. Was it your idea?

20. No, you are right
it was funny, but i was for some dumbass reason thinking that dumbass Leno might have interviewed Dennis instead of his doing the 'dating game' skit...
It would have been informative to see DK up against Leno's usual lame pap, he could have been getting a message out.

oh well,

27. I thought it was wonderful.
All anyone not looking hears about him is that he is shrill and strange and losing. Here he was, having fun. Smiling becomes him, you can see his kindness when he smiles. He showed America that he is a normal, fun loving American just like them. IMO it was good PR. It got his name out, it showed his humanity and his adorable smile. Will, I have friends who have a great Polka Band (I used to play with them). Should we set up a big Polka party? He could bring his date!

I wasn't expecting any serious stuff...I thought it was pretty good. Dennis has the best smile and he oughta have a little R&R with Jennifer Tilly!

Go Dennis!!!

Peace
