Gallup: HRC's favorability declined most among independents (down to 43%)
http://www.truthdig.com/avbooth/item/hillarys_downward_spiral/

Contrary to the myth promoted by HRC fans that a fall in Republican favorables led to her decline, Gallup found that her biggest decline came among independents (52% to 43%), followed by Democrats (86% to 78%). Her favorable rating fell six points among Republicans to 15%.

Gallup has found a net 25 point hemorrhage in favorables/unfavorables for HRC in the past two months alone. Imagine how much they will fall once the Rove machine sets its sights on her...

4. If this trend continues her ratings won't be high by the time Iowa rolls around
This week's debate will be very important. There is no way she will come off looking good compared to Obama, Edwards, and Richardson on stage. She is intelligent--but so is everyone else running for prez this year--but she has no charisma and is a weak public speaker. This will be in stark contrast to Obama, Edwards, and Richardson. Remember how much better Obama looked in Selma versus HRC?

6. defiantly
she's smart, but lacking in many qualities, with Obmana remember what happened to that black full of charisma congressman for Temnese? I lost his name, and he lost the race because of his color.

As disgusting as it is, this is a very racist country...

her nomination will do two things
recontruct a self-destructing GOP and
destroy a growing democratic party.

Democratic presidential debate: What you need to know if you plan to go - and if you don't

Sunday, April 22, 2007

The South Carolina Democratic Party and S.C. State University released information for those attending both the Path to the Presidency Democratic Debate at South Carolina State University State on April 26 and those seeking to get tickets to the Community Celebration Viewing and After Party, sponsored by the County of Orangeburg and the Orangeburg County Economic Development Commission.

More information and questions about ticket distribution can be obtained by calling the Debate Office at 803-536-7220 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or e-mailing debate@scdp.org.

# Information for debate ticket holders

Debate tickets will be available for pickup – by debate attendees only – at the Will Call window in the Debate Office in Earle Hall on the S.C. State campus starting at 2 p.m. Monday, April 23.

The Will Call window in Earle Hall will be open Tuesday, April 23, and Wednesday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Thursday, Will Call will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and then will move to tents near Mitchell Field from 2 to 5:30 p.m.

A picture ID will be required to pick up tickets. Every ticket has a person assigned to it and tickets are non-transferable.

Debate attendees will park at Mitchell Field, which is off Buckley Street near Oliver C. Dawson Stadium. A parking pass will be required to enter the Mitchell Field lot. Parking passes will be distributed at the Debate Office Monday, April 23, through the morning of Thursday, April 26, and at a tent near Mitchell Field on Thursday afternoon.

Ticket holders will be shuttled from the Mitchell lot to the MLK Theater. A debate ticket is required to ride the shuttle.

Debate officials have notified all ticket-holders.

Due to the small size of the theater, all tickets to the debate have already been distributed.

Doors to the Martin Luther King Jr. Theater open at 4 p.m. Ticket holders will go through security and are advised that phones, cameras, food, recording devices, electronic devices, weapons, signs and bags are not allowed in the Debate Hall. The security process will take some time and ticket holders should plan accordingly.

All attendees must be in their seats by 6 p.m. There will be a brief debate preprogram featuring S.C. State students and local leaders from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m., debate attendees will watch “The Nightly News with Brian Williams,” which will emanate live from S.C. State’s campus.

The debate will begin at 7 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m. The debate can be seen live on MSNBC, MSNBC.com, and South Carolina’s NBC affiliates, in addition to South Carolina Educational Television (SC ETV).

8. Gallup is a rightwing poll.
That's all you can offer? Gallup and Rasmussen?

If Democrats don't want Hillary, we will vote for someone else. The Republicans and Independents can field their own candidates. We alone will choose ours.

And, since I am personally quite fond of the man I used to work for, I really wish you weren't parading Mario Cuomo's name around here. My guess is he'd be disgusted by these tactics.

24. Yup. Rasmussen is my favorite pollster
Their Bush approval ratings are always abnormally high, perhaps because you can give a more nuanced response, but they were spot on in 2006, and pretty good in 2005.

Edited on Sun Apr-22-07 04:03 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
The pro-HRC MSM will not give such information proper coverage so left-wing internet sites have to fill in the gaps. People should have all available information when they decide their vote. This is an election, not a coronation with a sham election.

It is interesting how HRC fans question the credibility of every polling organization (by claiming it is a Republican propaganda outlet) out there--except when those same organizations show HRC (the preferred Republican candidate) in the lead...

20. We simply cannot win without independents. It is simple math
Edited on Sun Apr-22-07 04:11 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
HRC would win probably 80% of the Democratic vote against Giuliani (a DLC type). With Dems being roughly 35% of voters in 2008 that comes out to 28%. Where is she going to get the remaining 22.1%? Even if someone got 95% of the Dem vote that would only amount to 33%. Where would the other 17.1% come from?

16. Providing information is always good
We have a primary going on. Aside from the DLC wing of the party, the rest of us want a Democratic victory in 2008. In order for this to occur we have to break through the corporate media and let people know of all relevant factors before they cast their primary vote. If a candidate is very unpopular with the voters that will decide the election, it is much better for Democrats to realize that in in the spring of 2007 than in November of 2008 when we see President-elect Giuliani giving his victory speech because we blindly, without considering all factors and asking real questions, nominated someone...
