5. Permanent Paid Vacation
Bush Administration - we're buying out your contract. Go home now. If we need your signature, we'll call you.

Speaker Pelosi to the helm.

6. A President Pelosi might seem too much like a coup to millions of Americans.
In addition to the many logical reasons why Speaker Pelosi says that impeachment is off the table another might be that she does not want to seem to be lusting after the presidency and thus casting a shadow on what is a very serious process.

7. She isn't, WE are
America knew the consequences of their vote in Nov 2006. We've never had a more corrupt and incompetent administration and now that 70% of America knows it, it's time for our voices to be heard and for them to go.

8. If Pelosi says impeachment if off the table,
how do you make her put it back on? Threaten not to vote for Democrats in '08?
I am betting in April of 2008 there will still be many here who are still demanding impeachment. I would be just as happy to see Bushco to be destroyed by a thousand cuts than to be impeached and then strut after failing to be convicted.

11. Resign is not impeachment
Resign. Say it with me. Resign.

14. Wow! I guess you told me! Duh! Obviously resign is not impeachment.
Resign means Bush is gone. Since at this time it is highly unlikely that impeachment would not result in conviction, then Bush would not be gone. This is a salient point which the impeachment now crowd seems to overlook, or they just assume that conviction goes along with impeachment. So, say it with me: resign means Bush leaves office, impeachment without conviction does far less (remember Clinton?).

9. That would be sweet... But it will never happen.
I'm willing to bet that almost every US President has been impeachable. They've all done terrible things or passed unconstitutional legislation.

This President is obviously one of the worst, by far, but... it won't happen.

12. No, that's not true
This President is 100x worse than any other US President ever thought of being. You can take ONE Bush scandal and it would be *THE* scandal of another Presidency. Bush has enough scandals to go head to head with all 42 Presidents before him - and have some scandals to spare. That's how bad he really is.

10. Impeachment is the means by which we withdraw our consent. . .
I'm with you, but the only way to make removal a reality (or resignation in response to the threat of removal) is to go after Members of Congress with a big clue stick and wake them up to their duty to rescue the Constitution from the fascist fantasy that "the decider" has absolute and unlimited power to break our laws and turn Americans into torturers and spies to "protect us."
