John Kerry to strike back at "infidelity"-coverage, will appear on Imus-Show.
Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry is set to strike back at the "infidelity"-coverage by "Drudge Report" joining Don Imus on his Friday morning talk show.
"Drudge Report" had first broken the news of intense US media investigation into the two-year relationship of Kerry and a young woman, which is said they had since Spring 2001. The woman is said to remain at an undisclosed location in Africa.
Kerry will be joined later Friday by former rival Wesley Clark, who is set to officially endorse Kerry´s nomination bid, all though he confirmed quotes of himself stating "Kerry will implode over an intern issue" earlier this week.

I dont know if the source cited is a right wing or regular media source, but the none of the major media, television, or newsapers have touched it at all.So far there is only Drudges claim that the major media is investigating it, based only on the comments made by Clark, and having no other source to base the allegations on:
Mr Kerry, who spent the day with advisers in Washington before returning to the campaign trail in Wisconsin, must now fend off allegations about his private life. The Drudge Report internet news service - which broke the Monica Lewinsky scandal in January 1998 - claimed that several US news organisations were investigating claims of a relationship between Mr Kerry and an intern. There was no comment from the Kerry camp last night.

It looks like Drudge is drudging up mud, in the conservative fashion. Drudges record of accuracy is suspect, as there is very little that ever end up confirmed as correct in his reports. Typical right wing stuff. keep on slinging mud, occasionally it sticks. But in this case, the claims are rather old, none of it recetn, going back to the campaign in 2000.
