Gen Clark on Charlie Rose Now
Edited on Thu Feb-12-04 11:22 PM by WillyBrandt
Watch!

Charlie Rose talks too much

I'm so unhappy he's not going to be President (in 2004)

1. he's such a class act..
He is going to play a big role in the Democratic Administration come November and I for one am so glad. I would have been totally happy for him to be President, but if he is our man at Defense or State repairing the damage of Bush, we will be a fortunate country indeed.

6. Clark sure looks relaxed.
I gotta suggest that he almost seems relieved. He's been extremely straightforward about this experience and it's as though he is happy to have done it, because he's adventurous, but now he has his life back and can do what he wants.

If that's how he feels, who can blame him? Running for President is thankless. He deserves better.

My big fear for a "President Clark" is that the GOP would try to undermine him ala Jimmy Carter, who was on a NUCLEAR SUB for crying out loud, Naval Academy and all.

7. Bush quote
Why has this quote not made the media? Direct from Bush's
lips why he joined the guard to avoid going to Veitnam.

White House Press Breifing, Tuesday, Feb10

As stated by one of the reporters. Houston Chronicle 1994.
President Bush said "I was not repaired to shoot my ear drum off
or go to Canada so I decided to better my self by learning how to
fly airplanes."
