At first we thought she was amusing. Disrespectful? Yes. But that mouth of hers was sassy, and we kind of liked it. Unfortunately, she turned out to be a fatal attraction, a political "bunny boiler." By the time she insulted the 9/11 widows, we were over her -- the Cult of Coulter wasn't funny anymore.


I Hate Ann Coulter! is the first step toward ridding ourselves -- as a country -- of Ann Coulter. By examining her life and writings, interviewing high school classmates who remember Ann when she was a chubby brunette (presumably before she sold her soul to be thin, blond, and pure evil), and chronicling her "Black Tuesday" (6/6/06) Today show appearance, when she stopped pushing the envelope and simply set it on fire, we hope to do our part to put her in her place once and for all.

5. Oh, I keep my eye on her.

I actually log on to her site every couple of weeks. Sure, people will go "ewww" and ask I would both to even pay attention to her, but I truly think it's wise to know what she's up to. Despite dismissals of her, she gets attention in the media. Despite how vile and hateful her words are, she gets speaking engagements. Despite how shrill she may sound, she gets book sales.

I think she's become her own worst enemy, and all the things she's been doing and saying have led to less and less exposure in the media, but I also think she's starting to play a dangerous game. It may look like lunacy on the surface and may even be that, but it could lead to some other things. Her public persona is starting to seem very desperate for attention. I'm sure we'll see more outrageous behavior, since she's been shunned, but what I am worried about is that she is still out there, talking her head off, speaking to the troubled masses.
