Isn't this the anniversary of some brilliant conservative military strategic victory?
As I recall Genghis Bush got on his chariot and proclaimed that the republican party had saved the universe for christianity and all the poor, unwashed ignorant trash rose up in one voice and spat upon liberals. He stood so tall and erect with the lemmings blowing up his ego and the PNACers and right wing talkers babbling on as if drunk on ignorance. Whatever happened to that moment? Aren't there parades around the country sponsored by proud conservatives proclaiming to evil liberals "we told you so?" Could it be that one who was so vehemently shouted at five years ago is reveling in the reality of the real world that conservatism has wrought?

6. All Genghis Khan wanted was trade agreements.

He was a multiculturalist in a xenophobic world.

Another historian recently concluded that he was also into urban renewal on a grand scale. Apparently, he destroyed all those cities that were bleeding away business from the silk road while leaving those on the silk road untouched. He may have completely de-populated certain towns on the silk road where the townsfolk impeded trade, but he always imported a new population to replinish it.

Add Genghis Khan to the list of great Liberal commanders!
