1. I think you mean that she narrowly trails Edwards
not that she narrowly rails him. :7

5. Not necessarily. "Female voters set high standards for female candidates"

"Clinton must portray several images

Regardless of how the vote plays out, Clinton must portray several images in her campaign. She announced her candidacy from her living room, a move that virtually invited prospective voters into her home. She has won praise from top military officials who say she has a firm grasp of wartime needs and strategy."

17. Maybe that explains the gender gap in Iowa. Otherwise, I can't make sense of it.

18. Possibly. With women not being equal in socially, politically and economically you would think
that Senator Clinton would be riding high. The amount of women going for Obama surprises me. The issues women face in the workplace, with childcare and with issues such as violence it shocks me that women aren't demanding that thes issues be addressed.

Hillary addresses them.

6. I wouldn't say that yet
but it will be interesting to see if he can sustain his momentum over the next several months.

4. Interesting internal break down: "John Edwards leads Hillary Clinton among women in Iowa 32% to 26%,
John Edwards leads Hillary Clinton among women in Iowa 32% to 26%, with 16% for Barak Obama." I have no idea what that means.

Even more interesting: perhaps the obituaries on the McCampaign are premature.

IA -- NH -- SC

19% 17% 23% - Giuliani
08% 04% 06% - Gingrich
26% 29% 36% - McCain
14% 24% 06% - Romney
13% 07% 10% - F Thompson

11. Edwards is in a VERY good position with ten months left before the first vote if....
i were Clinton i would be worried trying to maintain that lead in the states with that much time left.

15. Fair enough. Can't find that poll, so here's another one......
http://www.wmur.com/politics/10945818/detail.html Favorability ratings for Hillary 74%, 67% for Obama. A fun fact: Nobody knows who Brownback is! He has a -1 percent rating. I'll keep looking for the other (my favorite) poll.

14. Hillary is ahead of Obama both in first primary states and nationally
Edited on Tue May-01-07 04:44 PM by David Dunham
Obama's fading slowly to third place (he is in third place in IA and NH already). Only Rasmussen, inaccurate robo pollster, shows Obama close to Hillary.
