Never underestimate the stupidity of some voters. Dame Rudy is a "hero" to many, and it will take a lot to tarnish that. MSM sure isn't up to the task.

And agree that the MSM will have an inappropriately skewed impact.
At the same time, Rudy's numbers have plateau'd here in the last couple of weeks. Part of it is the strong hint of a Fred Thompson jump-in, but I think a good part of it is that he sucks doorknobs when he's at a campaign appearance. Rudy is a terrible public speaker.
The tide for 2008 favors our side. The nominee won't be chosen until next spring (maybe late winter), but already the GOP is scrambling just to find a candidate who can feed himself.
Giuliani is awfully unpolished and untested. I think this is the best it gets for him.
