Blue state republicans who vote to sustain assholes veto today will be gone in the next election.
The blue states took control of congress in 2006 by dumping red representatives. Some have survived, but if they Rubber Stamp bush's veto today we will defeat them in 2008.

This vote today will be the republicans death blow.

The next bill democrats send him should have tax increases for big oil and the super rich, see how he likes that.

4. They should play parts of KO Countdown -- Blame Transmission Accomplished
About 2 minutes in Speaker Pelosi refers to Bush statement on 6/5/1999 as Gov on when he stated that he thought it was important that Clinton have a timetable for the war.

About 4:50 it begins with the "Making Progress" bit and lasts til about 6:00. It is a killer for Bush!!!!

2. Many blue states have areas which are very red
Central PA is just one example. Conversely, many red states have areas which are very blue. Austin, TX is a prime example.

3. No they won't.

Voters rarely vote for legislators based solely on one vote or one issue. Will some of them be gone? Quite possibly. Because of the war votes? Who knows. But politics and public opinion are messy, and broad-brush statements such as yours rarely hold true in reality.

7. No?
Since less than 50% of the people usually vote, a single issue such as peace can influence another 10% to go vote the next time.

That 10% will carry the day.

Why do you think Dems won in 2006? I think it was because enough new people got off their asses to vote for peace.
