  With the news that Hershey was closing another plant, this time in California (laying off 575 workers), I started to wonder (again): What the hell does all this mean? More and more companies want to sell to us but they don't want to employ us. We, working or not, borrow borrow borrow. Borrow, borrow, borrow. Our government borrows money and spends it like there's no tomorrow. We, as a nation, borrow money and spend it like there is no tomorrow.

  But there is a tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day the bill collector comes a-knocking on our door. And what a big bill and what a heavy knock it will be.

  A nation, a debtor's prison, where the inmates makes license plates for cars that no one can afford to drive.
