Okay guys I have been asked to interview Elizabeth Kucinich this afternoon for a TV show I do.
Anyone have any questions she should be asked? I interviwwed Denis In 2004 but I haven't a clue what to ask this woman.I don't want to do the usual candidates wife questions as I think they are insulting. And I think it would be silly to ask what her plans for being First Lady are as she isn't going to be. Soooo?

1. What would be her ongoing project during her husband's tenure at
the White House? Social, societal, and/or political reform?

2. Well, as it is obvious there probably won't be any "tenure at the WH, I want to ask "real "questions

4. Ask her what she thought of her husband's vote today
Edited on Wed May-02-07 03:10 PM by pirhana
when he voted 'present' instead of yay or no (on overriding the veto)
Let her know that it caused a bit of a stir on the blogs today.

Hi Saracat! Any chance you will be able to post the interview online for those of us that don't have access to your program?

5. Ask her what type of political advocacy she did prior to meeting
Dennis. What were her causes and what was her passion. Ask her if her and Dennis agree 100%, and if not, what do they disagree about?

7. I'd focus on the inner strength the she and Kucinich clearly possess.
They're idealistic and willing to put it all on the table. I'd ask her straight up what her inner workings must be to pump her up for each day of this difficult campaign. Ask if she there's been an event or campaign stop that has meant the most to her -- Kucinich is willing to addend some of the grassroots events that others would never see.

However, I would not avoid a question about he concept of the role of first lady. You could put it in the context of which model she likes the best -- Pickles vs Hillary vs Jackie.

This is a rare opportunity. Best of luck!

If it gets archived anywhere (YouTube or whatever) be sure to give us a link.

9. She's British
Ask her the best and worst differences between US and British politics, structurally and philosophically, not today's politicians.

10. How lucky for you saracat !
What an amazing opportunity. All I can think of "What would Oprah ask" :silly:

How do you like campaigning?

Do you go with Dennis to all the events?

How has your life changed since your husband decided to run?

Planning on starting a family?

Do you have a career/job ?

Hobbies?

Favorite places to visit?

...ya'know, get her to talk about her :) We all know and love Dennis already, and getting to know Elizabeth will allow us to get to know him even more!

Good luck and please share your experiences!
