1. It's kind of a shame for the GOP that Buddy Hackett isn't still with us.
He would have as much a chance to get the nomination as any of the people in this debate.

8. Race has NOTHING to do with it
They all were losers - except for Ron Paul, who I admired for his stand on civil liberties.

10. Agreed they are all losers....but the Neocon nut house party
Edited on Thu May-03-07 08:52 PM by MadMaddie
wants to protect their own....(yes there are misguided minorities and women who think these fellas really care about them)

Race and class has everything to do with the 2007 Repug Candidates and their beliefs and the 27% that support them.

Mormons...not many miniorities in that group,
Punish the poor for being poor, education-too bad if you aren't born into a wealthy family...* said pull yourself up by your boot straps...
Women...shut up and we White men will tell you what will be done with your bodies...

And I could go on...but it makes me weary....

11. It should make you feel weary
Because THEY use the same racial stereotyping. It's wrong on both sides. Period.

14. So you are saying that this group of men on stage tonight
supports a womens right to choose?
supports equal rights for all Americans?
these men would take this country to war again and again to push their ideology?

They are extreme far right nuts...who believe that their relious beliefs should permeate and rule American society not the Constitution....

I am African American and I don't fool myself racism, sexism and homophobia are alive and well in this country and that group of men will continue to oppress Americans that don't look like them or think like them.

How is it a stereotype if it is an actual fact? Did you listen to their responses?

15. Hmmmmm
Maybe that's why you think it's okay to label using race - because it has happened to YOU. I understand that, it's a little more understandable. But, no, it's wrong both ways.

As for those policies they presented tonight - they all would mean further RUIN of this country. But they could have all been black and I would have felt the same way. It's what they SAID and what they STAND FOR.

Have a good night! We'll beat any of them anyway :)

To me, he seemed like the epitome of the pre-packaged, processed Hollywood stereotype of the "slick" used car salesman or religious huckster - or phony politician. But, who knows? He's raised a lot of money.

17. Thats how he
sounded to me as well. Just perfect for the GOP. Hell look at how bad Bush spoke and we have him for 8 years. Add to that Romney's vast wealth, and I stand by my assertion that he could be trouble.

27. The only thing we need to be afraid of Katz..
Is them stealing another election. Romney put on a good show, but he'll get nailed on all his flip flopping. Nurse Nancy would feel right at home with Romney, he couldn't remember what he said last week. I'm sure her ears perked right up after his disclosure.

25. the worst moment was when Bill Clinton was mentioned.
That's when they showed just how much class they lack. Couldn't wait to snicker and laugh and roll their eyes--as if Bill Clinton's eight years was the worst thing for the country.

"NO--",I said to the TV, "It's your stupid conservative ideas that hurt this country. And yet you persist!"

28. I saw that too-
basically they were afraid to answer the question- so they all laughed and mumbled something inaudible about Hillary. Then one of the cretins said something almost as useless relating to Bill measuring for drapes in the Oval office. When in fact, Bill is probably ordering the latest in orange jumpsuits with the new velcro fasteners for them and their brethren. :)
