Bush 41 is to be the keynote speaker at the Washington Times 25th anniversary in a couple weeks. Moon is also scheduled to speak.
Besides Moon spending $3 billion on the propaganda arm of the Republican Party called the Washington Times, funding theocrats like Lahaye, Falwell, bailing out fright mail guru Richard Viguerie, funding the father of the attack ad, Terry Dolan and creating front groups like the 300,000 strong American Freedom Coalition which was designed to gather the Christian "right" for political power..... and in general supplying the money, know how, "vision" and backbone to the Republican Party which took over all three branches of our government in 2001...
anyone wonder why Bush 41 would shill for Moon?

As followers of Rev. Sun Myung Moon pray for a presidential pardon for their aging Messiah's felony tax-fraud conviction in the 1980s, the latest tax filing of the Washington Times Foundation has become available. The return covers the months from April 2005 through March 2006 and shows a $100,000 contribution from the foundation to the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. .
..snip...
This revelation of money donated to a charity associated with the Bush family is just the latest in a string of donations and payments dating back more than ten years. George H. W. Bush has had a long association with Moon going back to just after he left office. In September 1995 Bush and his wife gave a number of speeches in Asia for the Women's Federation for World Peace an organization headed by Moon's wife Hak Ja Han Moon. In November 1996 Bush spoke in Buenos Aires at a banquet honoring the opening of Moon's South American newspaper Tiempos del Mundo. Bush refused to disclose how much he was paid for his Moon-sponsored speaking tour.
In 2003 the Washington Times Foundation funneled a $1,000,000 donation to the Bush Presidential Library through the Greater Houston Community Foundation. In 2005 the Moon sponsored Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace made a donation of $1,000,000, it's largest donation of the year, to the senior Bush's Points of Light Foundation for Hurricane Katrina relief.
The Bush 2005 Inaugural Committee received the maximum $250,000 donation from Moon's Washington Television Center the entity that owns the large office building at 650 Massachusetts Avenue in the District of Columbia. In December 2005 the President's younger brother, Neil, was spotted touring Taiwan and the Philippines with Moon. Less than a year later Business Week published an article titled "No Bush Left Behind" profiling Neil Bush's company Ignite!, Inc. The company sells a high tech teaching aid called "Curriculum on Wheels" or COWs. The article states "A foundation linked to the controversial Reverend Sun Myung Moon has donated $1 million for a COWs research project in Washington ( D.C.)-area schools
From non-profit tax returns and media reports we see that at least $3,335,000 has flowed from the Unification Movement to Bush family members or charities since George W. Bush has taken office. Quoting someone with principles - James Whelan, the first editor of Moon’s propaganda paper, the Washington Times. Whelan quit the paper saying he had "blood on his hands" for helping Moon gain credibility.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9008719207533458404&hl=en "They (the Moonies) are subverting our political system. They're doing it through front organizations--most of them disguised--and through their funding of independent organizations--through the placement of volunteers in the inner sanctums of hard-pressed organizations.
In every instance--in every instance--those who attend their conferences, those who accept their money or their volunteers, delude themselves that there is no loss of virtue because the Moonies have not proselytized. That misses the central, crucial point: the Moonies are a political movement in religious clothing. Moon seeks power, not the salvation of souls. To achieve that, he needs religious fanatics as his palace guard and shock troops. But more importantly, he needs secular conscripts--seduced by money, free trips, free services, seemingly endless bounty and booty--in order to give him respectability and, with it, that image of influence which translates as power." James Whelan - 1991
and this from Bo Hi Pak, Moon's long time political aid describing how Bush, by selling the name, honor and prestige of the Presidency of the United States to Moon, got the Japanese to bow to Moon - this was when 41 and Barbara toured Japan for Moon in 1995.

by Bo Hi Pak Chapter 60 Give and Take of Love
New York, New York January 2, 1996
On the day after the 29th True God's Day, Dr. Pak speaks at an International Leadership Conference. Following Father's instructions, he recounts a detailed report of his year in Japan as a missionary, including his Day of Hope tour and the historical five-city tour of True Mother and President and Mrs. Bush. .....
Mother Was Number One
Last fall Father organized Mother's tour of Japan accompanied by Barbara and George Bush. Can you imagine a U.S. president, whether an incumbent or a former president, doing anything in a secondary position? They are always number one. A U.S. president is always number one. But this time who was number one? Mother was number one. Their respect for Mother and Father was incredible. ....
The U.S . president, therefore, is like the king of the world. The king of the world comes with Mrs. Moon? Impossible, they thought. This must be some kind of trick. When 50,000 people gathered in the Tokyo Dome and the program announced George and Barbara Bush, there were hundreds of people from the media outside and inside. Their palms were sweating as they wondered: Has George Bush really come? There must be some kind of trick. There will probably be a message on the video screen saying, "I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person, but I am there on video."
When George Bush's name was announced, there was wonderful applause. The media said, "No, no. It couldn't be true. It's too good to be true." When George and Barbara Bush, smiling from ear to ear, showed up on the stage, everybody was dumbfounded. They thought it must be a phantom, or maybe somebody put makeup on to look like George and Barbara Bush. They still didn't want to believe it.
Then George and Barbara Bush spoke, supporting Mother's idea for true family and world peace. The audience could not deny that they were George and Barbara Bush. They then thought, "Oh, the Bushes must have been deceived." The opposition was incredible. In the middle of the tour, people wanted to hear George and Barbara Bush say, "Well, we've been tricked. Now we are packing up and going home." They were waiting for that news.
Never in history has a U.S. president traveled to more than two cities in Japan. This time George and Barbara Bush traveled to five cities. No U.S. president has ever set foot on the island of Hokkaido. George and Barbara Bush went to Hokkaido.
The citizens of Hokkaido bowed down to Father and Mother, because Father and Mother brought an American president to Hokkaido, the northern island. No president of the United States ever went to Kyushu, the southern island. Then George and Barbara Bush went to Fukuoka, the capital of Kyushu.
The people of Kyushu were flabbergasted at Father and Mother's power to tell a U.S. president what to do and plan his schedule. Incredible. This completely changed the attitude of the Japanese government and media toward the Unification community. ....
The Japanese church has experienced incredible persecution. During 1996 we will completely chop off the old persecution, double the membership, and double it once again. The current membership will increase four times.
__
NOTE: the "persecution" Pak is most likely talking about is the Japanese courts system finding the Unification Church responsible for swindling vast sums of money from its citizens, targeting widows. We're not just talking about selling overpriced pagodas. One lady was awarded $2.4 million (USD) just last year.

Bush helps Moon open "Washington Times South" in South America - we'll let Robert Parry report how the Moonites saw Bush's shilling this time:
http://www.consortiumnews.com/archive/moon1.htmlBush then held up the colorful new newspaper and complimented several articles, including one flattering piece about Barbara Bush. Bush's speech was so effusive that it surprised even Moon's followers.
"Once again, heaven turned a disappointment into a victory," the Unification News exulted. "Everyone was delighted to hear his compliments. We knew he would give an appropriate and 'nice' speech, but praise in Father's presence was more than we expected. ...
It was vindication. We could just hear a sigh of relief from Heaven." here George speaks in August of 1996 in the USA - celebrating the Unification Church changing its name to the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification.
Neil Bush dines with Moon during Moon's promo tour for the Universal Peace Federation which is the culmination of his life's plans to influence the world. The UPF is what Moon started when the United Nations did go along with his idea to theocratize the UN by adding a theocratic body to the UN structure. Neil is on the left sitting between Jose DeVenecia the Speaker of the House of the Philippine's(to Bush's right) and Doug Joo head of the Washington Times. DeVenecia is the one who told thousands in Korea that Moon was leading his country's efforts to promote a religious body at the United Nations.
Chung Hwan Kwak, best described as the CEO of the Moon organization as he is a big wig for most moon fronts - flashes a picture of himself posing with the Bushes and the Cheneys for Korean TV - again helping to boost Moon's image around the world.

I told God that He could trust me, that I was different from Jesus. I said I would never, never pray as Jesus did in Gethsemane, "Father, let this cup pass from me." If I had to die in the position of servant of servants still I would not complain or feel sorry. I would be most happy to die on the path I was supposed to go.
