Do GOP Presidential candidates believe in Evolution?
Apparently, 3 of them at the debate don't....

http://blogcritics.org/archives/2007/05/04/051228.php

Except - I just have to say - did you see that three Republicans raised their hands to signify that they did not believe in evolution? And, once again, the camera did not move in close enough. From what I could see, it wasn't Giuliani or McCain and I'm pretty sure it wasn't Romney at the other end. But three others Republican candidates did raise their hands. (They have been identified as Sen. Sam Brownback, Gov. Mike Huckabee, and Rep. Tom Tancredo.) The mind boggles - I thought for a second I was watching The Tudors, except then it would have been more entertaining...

......or was it more like watching Jurassic Park?

3. Confusing isn't it
Since each and every one of those members of the party of responsibility and integrity would like us all to believe that they have evolved from reagan. Now why one would want to be connected to a worthless chump of a human being and a piss poor actor is beyond me but I'm glad they made that connection.

7. Heh heh. Good one, BOSSHOG
It is apparent that Republicans have hitched their prospects to the Saint Ronnie of Reagan myths, so all we have to do is repeatedly compare his performance, and that of his two disciples, with Clinton's. I don't know who we would find to argue with though. I think aliens must have replaced all those adversarial Republicans with libertarians, who are saying we should all just try to get along.

4. They don't have to believe in evolution...
it still believes in them.

But seriously, there is no "belief" involved in evolution. Evolution happened. Period. The mechanism by which evolution works still gets some debate now and then, but you don't "believe" in evolution. You either accept it or you stick your head in the sand. (Or in the spine of an ancient book written by superstitious nomads.)

9. "belief" in evolution
I hate the phrase and especially the idea and argument. It is not an ideology or system of beliefs.
It is a proposed possibility of what has happened.

11. Ding Ding

One doesn't have to 'believe' in gravity either, but in the end gravity (nor evolution) give a shit and will continue onward whether people like Brownback believe in it or not.
