Single People - Mitt Romney wants you to get Married |
|
Mitt Romney sucking up to Pat Robertson (clue number one) by speaking at Regent University (Clue number two). The Mittster said "there is no work more imporant to America's future then what is done within the four walls of the American home." And he criticized people who choose not to marry because they enjoy the single life. Robertson called Romney an outstanding American (Clue number three.)
So there ya have it single people, get married whether you want to or not, because making religious zealots happy is job one.

4. To ask that, he'd have to classify Gays and Lesbians . . . |
|
as "People."
I'm not sure he's ready to take that radical step.
Now, if you could prove that over 50% of Republican primary voters were gay, I think you'd have him personally solemnizing same-sex nuptials on courthouse steps around America.

8. Don't have to prove it... Republicans never prove their statements |
|
Therefore, 80% of Republicans are gay. And those married to the opposite sex are living in sin.

Der Mittenfuehrer also want us to live in one-room huts? Because my home has way more than four walls. :sarcasm:
He'll come after childless couples next (that would be me and the s.o.), if he hasn't already. It's hard to keep track of which one of these mooks issued which retarded statement.

Why should single people be happier than some marrieds?

Republican tax policies have been sticking it to working single people since the 1980's.
My take-home pay actually dropped during the Reagan years, thank to his tax policies

11. Mittens should practice what |
|
he preaches and stay home. Maybe he can do some vaccuuming and take out the trash more often. Running for PResident is hardly a stay close to home venture.

13. I'd say "Screw him!" - but... |
|
...perhaps that's not quite the best way to put it. You take my meaning, though.
(Shamelessly enjoying the single life here. Child-free, too! (gasp!))

life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Happiness to a conservative is shitting on other human beings. Enjoy your status whatever it might be.

What are you - a communist or something??? :)
I'm recently married, and can't wait to have kids and a house-husband. :) But I'm actually the anomaly in my family - a long history of brilliant women who went to college when women didn't really DO that, studied science (in the 30's and 40's!), became scientists, and never married because they really preferred saving the world to washing socks. That was two generations ago. The next generation down includes my two aunts, who are single and child-free and married and child-free, respectively. My freaky parents got married (36 years now), and my weird mom was a stay-at-home mom until we got older, then she went back to work. In the meantime, I got my "five parents": my mom and dad, my single aunt, and my child-free aunt and uncle. A family is what you make of it, and everyone in mine is completely content with the arrangement. Its too bad we didn't have Mitt around to chastize us...
Just do what makes you happy! :)

15. Mitt is almost as stupid and entertaining as the current occupant of the |
|
white house and I, for one, would like a change.
I'm sick of these idiots who think the way to happiness is forbidding abortion and forcing people to marry 'for their own good'. God, what idiots. And I agree he should stay home more and practice what he preaches.
