On April 24, 2007, U.S. House Representative Dennis Kucinich introduced H.Res. 333, calling for articles of impeachment to be sent to the U.S Senate with regards to Vice President Richard B. Cheney.

The grounds of the proposed impeachment are that the Vice President:

fabricated a threat of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction,
purposely manipulated the intelligence process to deceive the citizens and Congress of the United States about an alleged relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda, and
has threatened aggression against the Republic of Iran absent any real threat to the United States, all in detriment to the national interest of the United States.

1. Would not a war crimes trial be more appropriate relative to those charges?

There is no doubt the punishment would be harsher, therefore more appropriate. The bush criminals could not possibly care less about impeachment, but a real trial with real punishment is in a different league altogether. Is there any doubt why bush bought land in Paraguay with plenty of room for his old pals?

Did so a week or so ago and got one of the fastest return emails I have ever gotten (about 7 hours turnaround time), stating that he was Co-sponsoring HR333 (Clay - MO 1)

Great post babsbunny! I hope folks will spend a little time on page 2 of that link. Scroll down on page one till you find "View 25 most recent posts" click there for page 2. I find the responses very encouraging....it is almost like America is slowly finding a place to vent it's frustrations, it's disgust, and even it's hopes here. (spend a little time there reading the posts as they come in to see what I mean).

I have heard, (from a fellow DUer :eyes:), that 99.27% is not so abnormal considering that this is a liberal web-site. I guess The Peoples E-mail Network must be more liberal than our own beloved Democratic Underground. A deliberately similar poll could generate no more than 88-90% favoring dick cheney's impeachment.
