This is the nightmare scenario. Jr. has been told by a delegation of moderate Congressional Republicans that their support for the war is temporary. Basically, they need to see serious results and soon. Lord Cheney is reporting from his silk lined bunker in Baghdad that things well they aren't SO peachy. But we are making progress, freedom is on the march and well you know the rest of that song.

I knew the congressional moderates would come around eventually. they are not suicidal after all, but the Dark Lord himself. I am amazed, flabbergasted, astounded if I may. You know what the worst part of this is. Dick and I actually agree on something. I feel dirty and a little nauseous. I am getting dizzy and i am passing out.

A grown man with the vapors. As I lie on the floor I am imagining what the executive fuck suit in the green zone must be like. buried deep in the GZ, 100 meters below the belly of a thriving democracy, a jewel of the Middle East.

In reality it is probably just a concrete reinforced bunker with florescent lights, desk and chair. But this is my hallucination so I am going to go all 007 with this one. At the foot of a stainless steel elevator shaft is the lair. Carved from the rock it is your standard cave format. One half is functional, a bank of computer displays, probably a robot of some sort. Chairs around an obsidian black conference table, and of course a floor to ceiling world map. I think Lord Cheney has that on his hotel primmer for when he is on the road.

The other side of the cave is a space age bachelor pad. Wet bar, full bath and a king size bed. Of course the place is covered with Saddam's own art work. Laid out like some J W Gasey freak show art exhibit. This I think is the only place where Chaney can get a good nights sleep. Surrounded by the trappings of a mad man dictator, 100 meters below the fucking chaos of his war. In the belly or should we say the bosom of the beast. Sleeping diagonal across the king size, curled up with his trusty hunting rifle, the carcass of a small game pheasant lying nearby.

Hey wasn't this post supposed to be about Jr. Big Tex, *, Shrub. Well yes and I am getting to that. Maybe there in his ca coon, with the benefit of a full nights sleep, Dick has a Epiphany. Ya know what, I have got to dump this shit in Jr's lap and pronto. In a more nobel society the elder would be the one to fall on his sword. This administration is quite the opposite. I mean why should Dick get the short of end the stick, he could still run for President some day. Nope Jr's has to jump into this abyss.

The Generals don't want any of this War Czar bull shit. The moderate Republicans will stand up with him against the war spending bills. But that support will not last, their constituents are calling and their bases will crumble. And Dick has gone negative. Most of the press is dragging it's feet on the war. However their survival depends on credibility. They will catch up, go back to being journalists, or they will be on FNC. Essentially it is time to pay the piper.

Let George take the bag of worms and pass it on to the next president. Hopefully a Democratic White House left to clean up the mess of an eight year Republican bender. Eight long years of pushing the envelope on everything from the tax code to civil liberties and of course foreign policy. Late nights playing spin the bottle contemplating whether water boarding and severe stress positions are really torture. Sending the middle class out for another Keg and a bottle of Jack. Don't worry about the cash, were good for it, it'll trickle down. Suckerssssssss!

W does not have the ability to clean up the messes that were made in his name. The Republicans don't want him to. They just want him for patsy and scream from the gallery how it really is the Democrats fault for not supporting our efforts. It's the Dem's fault for not fully funding the war effort. The current trap that they are laying. It's not about supporting the troops or getting the job done. It is simply put. Someone is going to eat it big, and it will not be us. No accountability whatsoever.

Final thoughts. W in charge of getting results in the war in Iraq. Well that really fucking scares me. Lord Cheney, a knew man, I smell a come back.
