Permanent Bases vs. Bush's June 2005 "Stand down"

Bush's Requests for Iraqi Base Funding Make Some Wary of Extended Stay

As Iraqis Stand Up, We Will Stand Down,' Bush Tells Nation

The lies became readily apparent, to the Quakers, who ended up being spied upon by the NSA for posing the question,

If the U.S. is ultimately leaving Iraq, why is the military building 'permanent' bases?

Osama bin Laden himself uses this against us in his propaganda, yet US forces seem to be willing to be duped into some kind of water-carrying for Israeli interests, in the case of a 'greater Israel', according to globalsecurity.org :

'From the Nile to the Euphrates'

Democrats, especially in their war-funding discussions with Republicans, will do well to ask for explanations about these permanent bases. They can also cause much weeping and gnashing of teeth in GOP circles by reminding 'Bush's base' that the Master himself said to leave a place that wouldn't recieve the message, Luke 9 : 5

"And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them."

Most Americans would agree that leaving the Middle East to its own devices is a good strategic move; if the Muslim world can't keep from soiling its own nest, we shouldn't be giving them cause to blame us. We should be shaking the dust of Iraq off the boots of our soldiers. As with past history, when we realize that God and nature will deal with all of us, the sooner we realize it the better. Islam, when it renounces terror and jihad, is worthy of respect. Capitalism and the West, when it is restrained and controlled, can lead to regional prosperity; and with self-determination, not impositions.
