Listen to a Conversation with Thomas Jefferson.
I heard this on a local radio station, WRIR in Richmond, and thought you all might find it as fascinating as I did. It is a weekly conversation between an interviewer and Clay Jenkinson, a well-respected Humanities scholar, who portrays Thomas Jefferson. To listen to the interviews, click on the following link and then click “Listen to the Show” for some enlightening conversations with this most important Founding Father. I am listening to “Religion and Death” right now. It is truly compelling. He comments on the use of sacred texts in swearing-in ceremonies which he describes as “silly” and states that it does “violate the separation of church and state”. Check it out when you get a chance!
