Which Repub candidate has the highest 'Ick' factor?
For me, its Mitt. Not just from the 60 Minutes thing, but in an overall sense.

I find him oily and smarmy and way too slick. Way too willing to poke a wet finger in the air. Way too glib, and way too insincere. He's more a matinee idol type who says lines than a serious candidate.

But that's just me.

Who gives you the biggest case of the creeps?

2. I'd say weathervane McCain; I really think he's lost his moral
compass somewhere along the way. He doesn't even make much sense any longer.

21. Weathervane mccain! Oh MAN! That's GREAT!!!
Edited on Sun May-13-07 08:13 PM by calimary
Is that a babylonsister original? It's spot on!

This is a question I find nearly impossible to answer. They ALL give me the heebie-jeebies. romney, brownback and those other two who also don't believe in evolution, all of 'em up there on that stage (including giuliani - I'm not fooled by him for ONE NANOSECOND) would deny my daughter and me the last word over what happens to OUR bodies. Every last one of 'em would go rootin' tootin' and shootin' all over the Middle East, all of 'em chomping at the bit to go blasting into Iran. Especially that pompous, bloodthirsty, warmongering ass duncan hunter (who should know better, because he's actually got a kid or a nephew, I believe, in Iraq). Every one of 'em flogging the aggressor nation crap to death (LOTS of death, no doubt). ALL of 'em HELL-BENT on shoving their frickin' holier-than-thou morality merde down our throats. I'm not voting for pope here. I'm voting for a secular, civilian president next year, not some self-anointed "good Christian man." Frankly, I've had my fill of the alleged "good Christian man" types, and it's made me sick to my stomach. If I want an ayatolla or mullah running my country, I'll move to Tehran, thankyouverymuch.

I find them all completely revolting. Every last one of 'em. I wouldn't give you a buck-98 for the whole lot of them, and, sorry, not ron paul, either (the way I feel about it at the moment, he's got no business even BEING a republi-CON anymore. That's strictly for BAD GUYS. If he really meant what/how he feels, he'd be running as an independent, and not under the GOP banner). I wouldn't even want to go to dinner with any of 'em, much less vote any of them into high office. But then again, I'm sure they wouldn't want to go to dinner with me, either. They would NOT have a peaceful, enjoyable meal ('cause I'd be raggin' on 'em the whole time).

And BTW, that's one great little rant you have going there, calimary, which I happen to agree with wholeheartedly!:D

I really think (McCain has) lost his moral compass somewhere along the way.

His mental one, too. I'd hate to think he's undergoing some kind of post-traumatic post-traumatic stress syndrome, but he's reminding me more of Reagan every day--and in spite of the theme of the GOP debate, not in a good way.

36. I've never liked McCain...
Once you read that Salon? piece where he just comes unglued in his home state, time and time again, he just seems like an unstable loose cannon to me.

Second runner-up--tie between McCain and F. Thompson--same politics, but McCain = creepy smile, neocon heart, Thompson = fake friendly Huckleberry Hound act to cover up evil neocon heart.

30. Mittens without a doubt. Smarmiest bastard I've ever seen.
A man who'd never let principles stand in the way of getting a few more votes.

If present trends continue, he WILL be the Republican nominee. Corporate media has spoken. Moderate voters will be tricked into voting for him as they were with Bush because of his superficial charm and sunny optomism.

Not good, my friends, not good.
