Why when Bush is at 28% would they send him out to do buffoonery? |
|
Does that make any sense at all?
The guy is already perceived as a nitwit, a slacker, a fool, a poseur, incompetent, inept, and so many more negative things.
And so in the last couple of weeks they send him out to kiss brown girls, make like a monkey with tribesmen, conduct the band, sing into a mic, yada yada yada.
What brainiac decided that it was better to position him as a sort of vaudevillian than to try to look as if he were trying to repair his flaws? He could have been pictured in deep meetings, or reading, or something that has to do with his job. Comforter in chief, they say.
I don't get it.

2. Maybe show him reading books? |
|
That's serious, and shows he's trying to...uh...I dunno, something. Just make sure he's holding them right side up when he's photographed pretending to do so.

3. my theory: this is Karl's way of telling the powers behind the throne that they still need him |
|
Every once in a while he does something really stupid that nonetheless looks like it's part of the script for the event, and it's hard to believe Karl let that through the filter rather than staging it so its just embarrassing enough that the people behind the scenes see it as an embarrassment, but not bad enough that Bush himself is any the wiser.
Frankly, I think Bush would have taken a dump in Queen Elizabeth's crown if Karl had put that on a 3x5 card.

5. I think you have it boxed. |
|
The curtain has been rent; might as well cop to reality and let the bozo be himself. The unfortunate part of this is that chenybush/rover may well be more willing to reveal the glint of dagger behind the be-jeweled sheath.
That might be easier to combat.

10. As long as the Shrubster comes off as an amiable bumbler, they are safe |
|
Most people have grown very tired of Bush's dimwitted Cracker schtick but many are willing to give him a pass because somehow, they still like the guy personally and feel some (increasingly small) loyalty. If people were to grow to understand that there is considerable calculation behind his clowning and that the taxpayers are being robbed blind by the business interests he champions, they would call for his head.
