Congressional Approval Poll |
|
Has any one else seen the newest Gallup poll concerning congressional approval? According to Gallup congress has an approval rating of 29%. Does this concern any one else?

the percentage of those who actually voted for the current incumbent.
I'm being only slightly fecetious. In an off year election, as the most recent one was, the turnout is noticeably lower than in a Presidential year, in which only half of the eligible voters bother to vote. And a lot of people never vote "down ticket", meaning other than for the top race or two.
Plus, as I mentioned recently, a lot of voters aren't that crazy about the choice presented, and only vote for the candidate because the other one is a whole lot worse, not necessarily because they actually are that crazy about their guy. Not to mention, overall most of us are extremely unhappy with what's been happening in Congress for the last decade or more, regardless of where we stand on the issues or along the political spectrum.

Has congress been pursuing and acting on an agenda even remotely concerned with that of the voters that put them in office?
They sure haven't represented me very well.
Two thumbs way down.
