CNN's Christianne Amanpour interviewed Falwell just last week.

Amanpour talked about Falwell's "controversial" comments after 9/11, which are below. She also said that Falwell said he was looking first for a candidate who was strong on national security--altho he was hoping to get more like-minded conservatives appointed to the Supreme Court.

"I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"
