Ron Paul Gets 30% on the Feedback POLL!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!

I guess the word of the people far outways the propaganda they're pushing on FAUX Noise!!! This is the early feedback though...and one of the guys just said "Paul's campaigners must be calling in." No, the people know what's up...and Ron Paul, I'm shocked to say, was very right. HE should be the one running as an independent...because the far-right conservatives will never support him.

3. That's not at issue here
We just think it's a scream that Fox's text message polling favors him so far.

4. No, I'm just curious--not accusing anyone of advocacy, because I think
he has about as much chance as Kucinich or Gravel, so I don't mind if someone supports him. I just wonder if anyone is willing to admit they'd vote for the guy--be brave and admit it!

6. Ron Paul is not all that he's cracked out to be
Be careful what you wish for -

"He favors a return to the gold standard, and repeal of birthright citizenship (currently protected by the 14th Amendment).

Ron Paul is even worse when it comes to foreign policy, the key issue of 2008..."

14. Would not want him as President.
But I would be down with him being VP to Kucinich or Mike Gravel.

7. couple factors
Edited on Tue May-15-07 10:23 PM by TheWebHead
1) there are 9 pro war republicans, so they divide that minority public view while Paul gets 100% of the anti-war audience.

2) the poll is 100% text message. the average fox news audience member is probably just under 70 years old - they don't have cell phones or if they do they don't know how to text message. I'm guessing the younger Fox News audience is much more centrist or liberal than the older audience.

11. Oh that's BS...
...even thought I brought it up because it was funny how stupid FOX looked and not that it means he won or anything...but do you seriously believe the average FOX viewer DOESN'T have a cell phone? I mean, really?

19. I'm not so sure of that--never underestimate the stupidity of the American people.
Sold the right way as the media conglamorates know how to do so well, Romney could very well win an election. He has no principles except ambition and that, like Bush, makes him very dangerous.

21. Who would be easier to beat?
Mitt doesn't have mythical "hero" or "maverick" status like Dame Rudy and McCain.
He would lose his homestate.
I see no evidence of any independent appeal
He has flip flopped on every position he has taken
The right doesn't like him (unlike F Thompson and others)
Like Hillary, he raised a ton of money in the 1st quarter, but had much fewer donors than other candidates.
His religion is going to cost him some votes. There has already been a semi-prominent evangelical to say that a vote for Romney is a vote for satan.

From Rasmussen...
Romney (29%) Edwards (55%)
Romney (37%) Obama (52%)
Romney (41%) Clinton (50%) <= If we nominate a weak general election candidate like Hillary, I could see Romney doing well.
Romney (34%) Richardson (42%) <=Richardson is probably LESS known that Romney and still beats him.

Who would be easier to beat (besides Newt)?

17. Ron Paul is Pat Buchanan minus the Jesus Juice.
Really, his position on the war might be good, but he also wants to pull out of the UN and abolish public schools. I'll even take Rudy over him.

20. Rudy ?
Edited on Wed May-16-07 07:41 AM by primative1
What does he add to that debate? ...
In the grand scheme what is the total cost of our interventionism? Why do economies in places like Korea and Japan prosper while here we waddle in debt while saluting incompetents?
If you choose to support the UN then you must wonder why we need to always play LEAD roles. The UN would be fine if its actual purpose was a united effort but since it is just used as another miltary tool do we realy need to continue to pay.
Imagine an america with a drasticaly reduced pentagon budget.
Now where does Rudy fit in the ideas game?
Does he have any? Hmmm ... times up.
