3. I just voted in that poll, for shits and giggles
And I voted for Ron Paul for all of the 'positive' questions. Funny thing, though--one question, I clicked on Paul, and as I scrolled down, the answer SWITCHED to Romney. It did this twice. I had to go back both times and re-punch the Paul button.

Hmmmmmm.

4. Oh yea...
I wonder if the GOP already has its plan in place for destroying Ron Paul.

Oh yea, eventually if Paul doesn't drop out...the party will drop him. I hope he runs as an Independent just to take votes away (even though he said he wasn't going to when Colmes asked him post-debate).

It makes you wonder why Paul does so well in the open polls, but in the closed polls (the ones the media touts as factual), he comes in with 1% or something.

12. Perhaps because of all the DUers voting for him
The reason the media touts closed polls as factual is because Internet and phone-in polls are so easily rigged as to be worthless.

5. Ron Paul in front on leadership, standout & most convincing candidate--the rest nowhere.
I have to admit that I voted for Huckabee for best one liner--that crack about Edwards in a beauty salon was pretty funny.

13. I voted for that, too.
I mean, I see the whining going on over here by the Edwardians, but, seriously, $400 for a haircut from the poverty candidate?

I really don't care how he spends his money, but he was ASKING to be included in a joke at some point when he did that.

7. Who sponsored that mess ?
I would suggest the next debate be sponsored by the American Kennel Club. They have rules that would display the mental agility of all of these candidates. Rather than allowing the candidates to babble all night, the AKC would simply check their ability to understand basic commands. Such as "speak", "sit", "rollover" and "heel". (That last one is required by Big Business) That way we will be more able to select the "best dog in show".

8. All the dems vote for Paul
the same way all the Repubs would vote for Lieberman if he was in our debates. At least that is my theory. Good to see Mitt doing so well, he and Newt are my favorite candidates (the easiest to beat).

11. I disagree
Edited on Wed May-16-07 02:52 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
I rarely disagree with you but I must on this. I think if there was strategic voting it would be in favor of Romney. I clicked on the "discuss" page (http://boards.msn.com/MSNBCboards/thread.aspx?threadid=286491) and it is overwhelmingly pro-Paul. It seems he actually struck a chord, at least with debate viewers. He has the isolationist wing of the party (well, probably the country since no Dem candidate is advocating a return to isolationism) to himself.

14. Well, I will change my tune if Paul ends up getting a boost in the nat'l polls
But if he stays around 1 or 2%, I'll stick to my guns.

17. An arrest might be next
Especially considering today's testimony from former Deputy Attorney General James Comey, describing how Gonzales & Card tried to strong-arm hospitalized former Attorney General Ashcroft into re-authorizing illegal wiretapping.

15. I would love to see them start to freak out over Paul. I'm sure they
will do something underhanded if he gets too popular.
