Clinton widens lead over Obama for 2008 vote: poll
Hillary Clinton has strengthened her status as front-runner in the race for the Democratic Party nod for US president in 2008, putting the brakes on a surge from rival Barack Obama in the latest poll.

A Harris Poll released Wednesday found Clinton ahead by a full 13 points, 40 percent to 27 percent among Democratic voters nationwide. Her showing was better than a similar poll in April which showed her leading Obama 37 to 32.

Only former vice president Al Gore, who has so far said he is not planning to run, and former vice presidential candidate John Edwards registered significant support, with 13 and 12 percent respectively.

2. We need the "Big Guns" to
defeat the right wing media! That is our biggest obstacle! I realized that the Clinton Camp can raise the money and use Bill when we need to step things up. It's how we will win.

I love all the other Candidates, but we need to make political progress via a Democratic Win. Hillary has the International acceptance to mend all the broken fences.

11. I was convinced of this on Saturday.
Ohio had their Ohio Democratic Party State Dinner. Hillary was the guest speaker. John Glenn was there too. Check out the pictures.

3. Not in Iowa
The more we see of Hillary, the lower her poll numbers. John Edwards has a significant lead over her in Iowa and she is statistically tied with Obama.

In Iowa, we don't like career politicians who say one thing in Iowa and vote another way in the Senate. Iraq and ethanol are the two top examples.

From my perspective, Hillary is Richard Nixon in drag. Smart, politically savvy and paranoid, vindictive and imperialistic. Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton? I don't think so!

4. I don't think you speak for everyone in Iowa
her poll numbers have *not* been shrinking. I think one poll showed her in a statistical dead heat with Obama (for second place) - others have shown her statistically tied for first place with Edwards. I haven't seen an Iowa poll since the debate, though - and she went up in all the polls after the debates.

17. The republicans will unite
heavily to make sure Hillary does not win. I was with a group of friends yesterday discussing the very subject. They will do whatever it takes to make sure she does not win.

15. She'll be the Senate Leader someday.. but president...

Nah.

Remember -- it's not Democrats that are pushing Hillary Clinton.

It's the so-called mainstream media who are chomping at the bit for a Clinton > Someone else campaign to cover.

And while it may seem like Clintonites are bombarding this joint.. well..

... actually, the small but vocal group of them really are bombarding this joint.

You have to learn to ignore their continuous polls and other selective blather.

The Hillary Dozen -->

The rest of us --->

Don't worry.. Democrats are smarter than you give them credit for. She won't play in Peoria. (Or 3/4 of the U.S. States)

BTW.. I just got back from visiting my brother down in Florida earlier this month, and he's "Hillary all the way".

I asked him why he's supporting her, and I was surprised.. He couldn't come up with any specific areas that he really likes about her.. his reason for going with her is that he just wants Bill back in the Whitehouse.

I had to slap my big bro silly.. I agreed with him that it would be awesome to have Big Dawg back in the WH again.. but...

Big Dawg isn't running.

16. Hillary is not my candidate, but once again, I say she is running a great campaign.
I took a lot of flack here several months ago for stating that she was running a "flawless" campaign. And I stick by those words today as much as then.

She's not my candidate and I have posted against her so much that my keyboard is worn out, but that does not change the fact that she has a very strong organization and is running a terrific campaign.

And should she be our nominee, I will support her and will be happy that she is such a disciplined campaigner.
