Fragile republican minds are on the fritz as they get some contradictory information. You all know what happened in last night's debate. It has created a lot of attention for Ron Paul on the web. Paul indirectly challenged Guiliani and his 9/11 bullshit. Paul said that the US might have played a role in inciting terrorism against us. This isn't really groundbreaking, but it is for the fragile minds of the "republican" party. He rocked their fucking worlds and they can't stand it. It was so simple and so authentic; and they couldn't handle it. The republican party, Fox, and others may choose to ridicule and attempt to marginalize Ron Paul. It's unfair and it's not going to work. The people select the candidates and I think Ron Paul will at minimum become the Howard Dean of this race.

3. Ron Paul is a congressman from Brazoria County, TX.

South of Houston. Congressman for Freeport/Lake Jackson.
Freeport is where a huge Dow refinery is and Lake Jackson is the company town, 15 miles away.

He's a libertarian who has snuck into Congress under the Republican label.

Yeah I lived in Lake Jackson for about 12 years. Ron Paul is an interesting fellow to say the least. He is a smart guy, but a hardcore libertarian and a strict constituionalist...and I have heard at least, a bit of a conpiracy theorist. Although I think he has alot of good things to say, I don't think that I would necessarily want him as president above any of the other candidates. He's EXTREMELY libertarian (sorry I just really dont like libertarianism), the only reason he runs as a republican is that its the only way he could get elected.

My good friend interned for him for a summer...I could probably ask him about Ron Paul if anyone is interested.

Ron Paul has taken the position that had Lincoln drafted and signed the emancipation proclamation BEFORE 1861, the Civil War might have been avoided. He's taken a lot of heat for that position, too.

He's never condoned slavery.

8. Yeah, Paul was screwing with the mythical foundations of Republican post 9/11 reality.

What I found interesting was Guiliani's response to Paul that got all the applause. His statement was factually incorrect, yet the crowd lapped up the rebuttal. That's what they sell...no steak, just the sizzle.

people like Ron Paul and Dennis Kusinich have time to build some support. If Ron Paul makes a splash in the next debate and people start listening to him maybe he can get out of that 1% territory. I happened to catch some Rush yesterday and the only call I heard a guy called in and asked Rush to endorse Ron Paul. If that actually happened, he would certainly have a fighting chance. There's enough wacky libertarian republicans and enough anti-war repubs that he might actually have the support to win the nomination if he can get to be seen as main-stream enough to not just be a waste of a vote. I'd like to see him win and not only because he would be a sitting duck for our nominee.

20. Not a Chance ...

The media lined up all last night to do the Howard Dean thing.... They kept pulling Paul's statement out of context and then unanomously proclaimed Rudy as our hero for calling him on his "misstep". Not once did they play Paul's response .... I noticed it started anew this morning with the today show.
This guys worries the establishment. The official 9*11 explanation will stand at all costs, wether or not anyone actualy believes it. Our dem candidates will support this effort, which troubles me because that says a lot about their sincerity in truly ending conflict over there. If one chooses not to live in a peacable manner then how can one truly expect peace.
