Obama's not going for the setup by the media
Edited on Thu May-17-07 07:55 AM by bigdarryl
Every time he is interviewed by a pundit they always ask him about Hillary and try to get him to say something negative about her. he was on Gregory live and David ask him the differences between him and Hillary Obama said QUOTE:I am not running against Hillary Gregory: Of coarse your running against her no one believes your not Obama: look i have tremendous respect for both Bill and Hillary. Obama is smart to take this approach because as soon as he says something negative about Hillary the press will be all over him saying See he is not running a campaign about getting people together he's a regular politician just like everybody else Plus the fact that Hillary's people will be all over him saying Obama's going negative so we have to protect our candidate and go negative on him. Good for you Obama not taking the bate.

1. And then he says you need 60% of the country behind you
to make any headway on the big issues facing this country, i.e. health care, and he thinks he's the person who can do it. So first he says he's not running against Hillary, and then he says, in so many words, that he's a unifier and she's polarizing. Except he doesn't quite say it; it's up to the voters to figure out. I think it's a pretty smart way to make the point.

3. So how is one to tell the differences between Hillary and Obama
if Obama doesn't answer that question?
Looks like Obama avoided answering the first question and then created one that wasn't specifically asked.
