McCain hasn't cast a vote in the Senate in 5 weeks...
Why doesn't he just resign?

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) "missed another vote today on a resolution related to the Iraq war, skipping a procedural move on a war funding measure in favor of hitting the campaign trail in New York," according to the Washington Post.

"In fact, McCain's missed vote today marked his fifth straight week without casting a vote on the Senate floor, with this morning's vote marking the 42nd straight roll call that he has missed."

1. Has he been missed ...?
Like so what, would his votes have made any difference to the outcome? Both sides are good at counting votes.

4. Remember ... in 2004, the Repukes made a big stink about how Kerry was
missing a vote ... and when he hurried back for a key vote on a big issue, the Repuke-led Senate rescheduled the vote ... just to smear him yet again ...

7. Is he ill? There's another thread here remarking on how he looks frail.
Wonder if that's keeping him from voting.

Or if it's the campaign trail that's keeping him from voting??
