New Hampshire Poll: Clinton 28%, Obama 26%, Edwards 15%, Richardson 10%
This is from a May 17th Zogby poll.

Wonder what caused the jump for Richardson?

On April 3rd he was at 2% and here he is at 10%.

8. Has he had the same kind of results in Iowa?
Is there a recent poll showing similar movement for him there as well?

2. It's the ads that started running on Monday...they're brillant.
The Zogby poll was conducted Tuesday and Wednesday...shows how volatile this race is and how a candidates fortunes can change overnight!

5. No online poll here.

The telephone survey shows Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York holds a small lead over Barack Obama of Illinois, with former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards trailing behind – even as New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson has seen his support jump to 10%.

The poll, conducted May 15 and 16, 2007, included 500 likely New Hampshire Republican primary voters and 503 likely New Hampshire Democratic primary voters. The margin of error for each survey is +/- 4.5 percentage points.

<snip>

While Clinton leads among Democrats at 28%, Obama is closing in at 26% and has shrunk her lead from 6 points in April to just 2 points in this latest New Hampshire survey. Edwards lands in third at 15% support, falling from 23% support in Zogby’s April poll, even as Richardson surges ahead to 10% support, up from just 2% last month.

6. Or...
"Just goes to show how quick the tides can turn..."

Or how little relevancy these polls have...

7. It shows the race is volatile, and more than just the top three have a chance. nt

9. Richardson's ads were great. Edwards had a bad haircut month.
Richardson fills a void for those who'd prefer a candidate with the sort of experience that makes you think he could do the job and do it well. The ads pointed that out in a very entertaining manner. He also did a good job on Jay Leno's show.

Edwards silly haircut flap continues to dog him. Sure it's unfair, but it's the sort of stupid thing a campaign has to be on guard against because it reinforces a negative view of the candidate that's already out there.

13. Great news for Obama.
Obama has the advantage in Iowa and South Carolina. If Hillary can't win New Hampshire either then she's completely done for.
