How does your candidate feel about the Drug War?
From what I can tell only 1 or 2 Democrats running have taken a clear stance on this issue.

I think Dodd and Gravel hinted at some interesting opinions last week but I can't find any statement or document clearly outlining anyone else's stance.

3. Not Too Many Candidates, Sir
Are going to pitch a direct appeal to those among us who define a drug problem as being out of drugs....

2. Dunno about the "war" but Richardson spearheaded legalized marijuana in NM
New Mexico becomes 12th state to protect medical marijuana patients
Last update: April 2, 2007

Presidential candidate Gov. Bill Richardson (D) has signed the popular medical marijuana bill into law. This officially makes New Mexico the newest addition to the ever-growing roster of states to give patients legal protection for using their doctor-approved medicine. This is a huge and exciting victory, which at times looked impossible... but New Mexico has proven that in the end, compassion and reason will win out over fear and misinformation.
(snip)
SB 523 breezed through the Senate, and on March 13 the House of Representatives voted 36 to 31 to pass the bill, keeping medical marijuana alive. The bill then went to Gov. Richardson, who had already pledged multiple times to sign it into law.

Please visit this page to contact the governor and thank him for his support for medical marijuana. A presidential candidate calling medical marijuana "the right thing to do" is no small matter, so please be sure to let Gov. Richardson know how much you appreciate his stance on this issue.

4. There we go. That's something.
IIRC, Edwards doesn't even support medical marijuana.

Now if Sen. Clinton came out with a similar position, she'd get kudos from me, and probably a lot of others as well.

9. He also enacted a bill that gives immunity in overdose cases.
New Mexico is the first state to grant immunity from prosecution for drug possession for both a person that contacts emergency services and the OD victim.

6. Yes Kucinich.
IIRC he is for the outright legalization of marijuana and the decriminalization of most other drugs.
